FURUNO 

The Furuno FM8900S™ is a 25 W marine VHF radio with a Class A CH70 DSC receiver.
It features a bright, high-contrast 4.3" color LCD display for excellent readability, along with improved noise reduction and an enhanced speaker for superior audio quality. The ship’s position and time are automatically input via GPS receiver interfacing.

The FM8900S™ VHF radio supports full channel scanning and dual watch (alternating between one channel and channel 16). In the menu, all functions are numbered, and the operator can access each one either by rotating and pressing the "PUSH TO ENTER" knob, or by directly pressing the corresponding number on the keypad (quick access).

The VHF radio includes a Replay function that records the last 120 seconds of incoming communication on the currently selected channel. By simply pressing the "REPLAY" button on the keypad, the last received message is instantly played back.

The FM8900S™ fully complies with GMDSS requirements for SOLAS vessels, as well as with the ITU recommendation for Digital Selective Calling in the maritime mobile service, ITU-R M.493-13.
ATIS signal transmission is also available for inland waterways.
